VCUSD Virtual Academy

When COVID-19 came on the scene in 2020, there was the need to quickly shift to an online learning environment.  When many students returned to their homeschool months later, VCUSD Virtual Academy was born to support those families who found that the online learning environment suited their needs as well as those who had health concerns about potential exposure. 

Over the following months, VCUSD Virtual Academy grew under strong leadership, a committed credentialed teaching staff, and a staff that worked to make sure that students and parents were supported.  Serving elementary students - those in the grade ranges transitional kindergarten through fifth grade -  VCUSD Virtual Academy maintains an administrative staff at the John Finney Educational Complex to support families.
